Minor Oral Surgery
Minor oral surgery is defined as smaller operations in the mouth. One of the advantages of using our Minor Oral Surgery service is that the patient can have their treatment carried out in a primary care environment (ie dental practice) instead of being referred to an acute hospital.
Our oral surgeons use modern treatment techniques and technology to achieve the best results possible
We offer a full range of minor oral surgery procedures including the following:
- Extraction of single and multi-rooted erupted teeth
- Removal of buried roots and fractured or residual root fragments
- Removal of impacted/ectopic/supernumerary teeth
- Exposure of teeth
- Minor soft tissue surgery
- Surgical endodontics (root canal treatment)
- Wisdom teeth removal

All minor oral surgery procedures are carried out under local anaesthetic, patients will receive a small injection into the gum but will remain awake through out the treatment. Whilst most patients find the thought of the procedure worse than the procedure itself, we have highly trained staff to support them through the process.
